If possible, find the broken piece of tooth and contact your dentist immediately. Carry the tooth tip in physiological solution, saliva or milk. Depending on the fracture, the dentist can easily reattach the broken piece of tooth. Breaking off a piece of tooth doesn’t normally involve pain, but it can cause discomfort. Don’t wait to make an appointment following an accident. An on-call dentist will be able to take care of you quickly.
If you’ve lost your tooth, look for it! It can be saved and successfully re-implanted. Contact your dentist or an on-call dentist immediately and do not touch the tooth roots. Transport it in physiological solution, saliva or milk. Make no mistake, losing a tooth is a dental emergency. You don’t have to wait to solve the problem. During our clinic opening hours, we always reserve time for dental emergencies. We can therefore take care of your emergency quickly. If the clinic is closed, there is always an on-call service in place. You can find the telephone numbers for each office here.
Will my regular dentist be in charge of my emergency appointment?
If you are a patient at Adent, we will of course do our utmost to ensure that your dentist can take care of you if you come in for a dental emergency. However, emergencies can arise at any time, and we prefer to take you quickly, even if your dentist is not available at the time.
If the emergency procedure requires follow-up, we will refer you to your dentist for further treatment.
