Dental prostheses at Adent

What are dentures?

A dental prosthesis is a device designed to replace missing teeth, restore chewing function and restore the aesthetic appeal of your smile. At Adent Dental Clinics, our prostheses are customized for perfect integration and unrivalled oral comfort.

How are dentures made?

At Adent Dental Clinics, we have state-of-the-art dental laboratories where our dental technicians combine craftsmanship and technological precision to design custom-made prostheses. After taking meticulously accurate impressions of your mouth, they create a prosthesis that perfectly matches the shape and size of your gums and teeth. Each prosthesis is an expression of our commitment to restoring the natural beauty of your smile, with comfort and aesthetic appeal.

Where are dentures made at Adent Dental Clinics?

All our dentures are made in Switzerland, guaranteeing exceptional quality and meticulous attention to detail. Unlike some clinics that outsource manufacturing, we firmly believe in being close to our customers. This enables us to tailor each prosthesis to the specific requirements of our patients, while maintaining strict quality standards. Choosing a dental prosthesis designed and manufactured in Switzerland means choosing excellence, comfort and durability.

The different types of dentures
1. The crowns

Completely cover a damaged tooth or implant.

2. Onlays & Inlays

Indirect restorations to repair partially damaged teeth, more conservative than a crown.

3. Bridge

Replaces one or more missing teeth by permanently attaching to an implant.

4. Implant-supported prostheses

Attached to dental implants, they can be removable or fixed.

5. Partial dentures

Replaces a missing tooth by attaching to a remaining natural tooth.

6. Complete denture (Denture)

Replaces all your teeth in one or both jaws.

Available techniques in detail

1. Crowns – Precise renovation for a radiant smile

Dental crowns at Adent Dental Clinics are the ideal answer for teeth damaged by decay or fracture, or for dental implants. Made from the latest-generation ceramic, they recreate the visible part of the tooth with a precision that ensures perfect harmony with your natural smile, while offering robust protection. Our crowns are the result of teamwork and precision guaranteed by our digital tools to ensure that our patients’ requirements and expectations are met.

2. Onlays and Inlays – MINIMALLY INVASIVE restorations

Inlays and onlays represent a high-precision dental restoration solution for teeth significantly affected by decay or damage. These customized restorations are permanently bonded to the tooth, restoring its original shape and function without the more invasive procedure of a crown. At Adent Dental Clinics, we prefer inlays and onlays for their ability to preserve dental tissue while offering outstanding aesthetics. Manufactured in our Adent 3D laboratories and by our partners, using materials such as ceramics or advanced composites, they are the ideal choice for natural, long-lasting teeth.

3. Bridge – A fixed dental restoration

A bridge, or dental bridge, is a fixed prosthetic solution offered by Adent Dental Clinics to replace one or more missing teeth, restoring the integrity of your smile and the full function of your mouth. Supported by natural teeth or abutment implants, bridges are designed to integrate indistinguishably with adjacent teeth, offering refined aesthetics and remarkable comfort. Our specialists are committed to creating customized bridges using state-of-the-art digital workflow technologies (intraoral scanners, 3D printers, milling machines) and the latest generations of ceramics.

4. Implant-supported prostheses – NATURAL REHABILITATION

Implant-supported dentures from Adent Dental Clinics represent the very best in restorative dentistry. Securely attached to bone implants, they offer the stability and feel of your natural teeth. Custom-designed and planned for each of our patients, these advanced prostheses enable complete restoration of smile and chewing function, with an appearance indistinguishable from natural. Our implantology experts work with precision to provide you with a customized solution that combines esthetics, comfort and long-term integrity.

5. Partial dentures – the solution for a harmonious smile

Partial dentures from Adent Dental Clinics are designed to fill the gaps left by one or more missing teeth, gently bonding to the remaining natural teeth. Manufactured in Switzerland in our laboratories using state-of-the-art materials, it blends into your smile, providing a natural appearance and restoring masticatory function. Our partial dentures are the result of close collaboration between our patients, dentists and dental technicians to ensure a precise fit and optimum comfort.

6. Le Dentier – Get a full smile

Complete dentures are one of Adent Dental Clinics’ solutions for replacing all the teeth in one or both jaws. Made from high-quality materials, they mimic the natural appearance of teeth, while offering restored functionality for chewing. These customized prostheses are carefully crafted in our laboratories, ensuring a comfortable fit in your mouth. Working closely with you, our dentists and dental technicians are committed to bringing your smile back to life, combining aesthetics and well-being.

FAQ – Dentures

Is it painful to have dentures fitted?

Denture fitting at Adent Dental Clinics is carried out with the utmost care to ensure your comfort throughout the process. It’s perfectly normal to be concerned about the potential pain associated with dental procedures. However, the placement of a denture is a minimally invasive procedure that generally does not require surgery, unlike a dental implant, which considerably minimizes pain.

When designing and fitting your prosthesis, our dentists and dental technicians use advanced techniques to ensure that your appliance fits comfortably and precisely in your mouth. If you receive a partial or complete prosthesis, you may feel an unusual sensation at first, but this should not be painful. Our team is dedicated to your well-being and will take the necessary time to make careful adjustments to ensure a smooth adaptation.

How often should I replace my dentures?

At Adent Dental Clinics, we recommend a check-up of your dentures every 5 to 7 years to ensure a perfect fit and optimum comfort, reflecting the natural changes in your mouth. Make an appointment for a professional assessment and keep your smile looking its best.

What’s the difference between dentures and dentures?

At Adent Dental Clinics, we understand that technical terms can sometimes be confusing. The difference between dentures and prostheses lies mainly in the type of dental restoration they represent.

A dental prosthesis is a general term for any artificial device designed to replace one or more missing teeth. This includes crowns, bridges and dentures, as well as fixed or removable prostheses attached to dental implants.

A denture, on the other hand, refers specifically to a complete removable dental prosthesis, designed to replace all the teeth on one or both jaws. When only a few teeth are replaced, we speak of removable partial dentures.

We’re here to help you understand each option, and to guide you towards the solution best suited to your needs. Don’t hesitate to contact us at Adent Dental Clinics for personalized, professional advice.

How do I care for my dentures?

To preserve the longevity and appearance of your dentures, regular maintenance is essential. At Adent Dental Clinics, we recommend daily cleaning of your dentures with special brushes and gentle cleaning solutions to prevent plaque and tartar build-up. In addition to your daily cleaning, your dental hygienist can professionally clean your dentures every 6 to 12 months.

It’s also advisable to rinse your denture after every meal and remove it at night to allow your gums to rest. Regular visits to our clinics will also ensure that your prosthesis remains snug and comfortable, while contributing to your overall oral health.

How much do dentures cost?

At Adent Dental Clinics, the cost of a denture varies according to several factors, including the type of denture chosen, the materials used, and the complexity of your individual case. For this reason, a thorough examination by one of our experienced dentists is essential.

During this consultation, our dentist will evaluate your oral health and discuss the various options available as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. On this basis, he can provide a personalized quote that accurately reflects your treatment plan. This tailor-made approach ensures that you only pay for the care you really need, while ensuring that the solution you choose is perfectly suited to your specific needs.
