Dr Tho Dang is Head of Clinic and Orthodontist at the Adent Dental Clinic in Geneva Nations.
Dr Dang graduated as a dental surgeon from the University of Paris VII in 2007, and after having been a dentist and then a paediatric dentist in a private clinic.
Dr Dang followed a selective 4-year course in Paris to become a dentist specialising in orthodontics. She also obtained the postgraduate certificate on “Technology of materials used in dentistry” in 2008 and furthered her knowledge of dentofacial orthopaedics in Lyon in 2011. This speciality is used to treat dental malposition, an anomaly that leads to a bad positioning of the teeth. It is therefore a treatment of dental crowding, whereas orthodontics is, conversely, a treatment of the space between the teeth. Since her thesis on obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome (OSA) in adults and the contribution of ortho-surgical protocols to the treatment of this pathology, Dr Dang has been collaborating in a multidisciplinary manner with the different specialities of the medical profession involved in the treatment of these patients, while keeping a medical eye on the prevention of these pathologies in children and adolescents.
Dr Dang has continued to perfect her skills in her field by following various training courses, notably in vestibular techniques (Damon®, TGO®), lingual techniques (Harmony®, Incognito®, Win®) and in the invisible aligner technique with the Invisalign® method. You can read more about the orthodontic techniques offered here.
She has also authored and co-authored scientific articles published in the Journal of Dentofacial Orthopaedics.
